The Scheme
Following extensive consultation with the community, the store plan was improved after our last proposals. It still has many benefits:
- A new Tesco
- New allotments
- Walkways between the High Street, Pocket Park and store to encourage trips to local shops
- A riverside nature conservation area
- A convenient car and pedestrian access to the store from Bridge Street
- New allotments to replace the plots moved to accommodate the new District Council car park.
